FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is permanent cosmetics or micro pigmentation?
A: It is the art and science of implanting color gently into the skin. New technology allows us to apply the permanent makeup with a natural look.

Q: How long will it last?
A: When using our micro-insertion machine, it will last approximately 10 years. It also depends on the shade of the color and how often you’re in the sun.

Q: How long should my recovery time be after a procedure?
A: This depends on which process you’re having done and how your body reacts to it. There is not really any “downtime”. The technicians are using the most advanced, state of the art technology available in our industry!

Q: Does it hurt?
A: Topical anesthetic creams have been designed to assure you of a comfortable experience. Some people say it is a “tingly” feeling.  Ours was designed by an anesthesiologist containing lidocaine, tetracaine, and epinephrine.  This stops any bleeding or pain.

Q: I heard the inks will change colors or I may have an issue when I get an MRI?

A: We use ink from the #1 supplier in the U.S. They will not change colors or have an issue with an MRI.

Q: How much experience do the technicians at ECPM have?

A: Instructor level with 24 years combined experience.

Q: Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

A: We like to accommodate our customers and we will meet you at the studio anytime with advanced notice.

Q: Is an appointment required?

A: Walk ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Our office is small with only 2 technicians specializing only in semi permanent makeup. We have been in the same location 7 years. With our great reputation and quality work, we sometimes stay booked up solid for weeks. (We are all about customer service- so if you are guest visiting the area, please call and we can get you worked in!)

Feel free to contact us today with any questions you may have or to schedule your appointment.

Q:Why does the office open so late?

A:We are located on the Downtown Fort Walton Beach “shopping strip”. Most retail stores open at 10am and restaurants at 11am.  Also, for ladies that need an evening appointment- we can take an appointment starting as late as 6pm on Wed, Fri or Sat.

Q: Will I need a touch up or 2nd visit?

A: It depends on what procedure your having done and the look you are wanting to achieve. Our technicians use the most advanced state of the art equipment available in our industry. For the “natural look” it usually takes 1  visit. Please call our office to find out if the procedure you desire is 1 or 2 visits.

Q: I heard you should not drink alcohol before tattooing?

A: Yes, historically that is true.  Our office does offer our clients a glass of wine to help relax. We are not using a tattoo gun. (Our equipment is “non invasive micro- insertion” Plus, the creams we use- TAG #45 stops any bleeding.)
