Say NO to MICROBLADING !

We have been in downtown Fort Walton for 13 years. I am an instructor level technician and did microblading at my studio from 2017 to 2020. We discontinued the service in 2020.

Microblading is a hand held tool with a row of needles that looks like a scalpel (In other countries where this got started they do use a scalpel)  It is very invasive to the skin as the hand held tool slices into the eyebrow area. This service barely lasts a year before needing touchups. It’s expensive with an average cost  around $450, then $200 touchups every 6 months to a year.

Why did we stop offering the service?  Everyone thought it looked great with the hair strokes in the beginning. I even had it done. However, many clients or even our technicians were not aware of the “long term ramifications.” The eyebrows only look nice after the 1st or 2nd application. After years of touchups, not only did our clients & clients from other stores say the lines begin to blur together, it looks very patchy-plus  faded unevenly. Some ended up with just dots on their eyebrows. This is caused by the manner which the ink was applied. Also, the cuts compromise the integrity of the skin and will begin to develop scar tissue. I do paramedical work, such as scar camouflage. Working on scar tissue is difficult and hard to get the ink to stay in the skin. Therefore, when clients come to me to re-do their eyebrows for a longer lasting service,  the damage from having their eyebrows microbladed over and over again is a challenge to get the ink to stay in.
